Status Symbol SSRMT -ARI#: 837158
DOB-9/30/01 $7500.00
In this economy, it always helps to have a bit of Status in your herd!
Status Symbol SSRMT ARI: 837158 is a Multi Color Champion in WHITE, and should be part of your breeding program! This wonderful macho has won over 30 Blue ribbons (including AOBA Nationals!) and 7 Color Championships!
At nearly 10 years old Status is still holding incredible fineness and crimp. Put him over your whites or colored alpacas to bring some of that density and fineness to those dams!
Biopsy's were done by Norm Evans and Ian Watt, and are posted below:
His prior microns are also posted on AN.
Fall Special: $1200, or $800 for drive by's.
Lease: $5000,(not to exceed 7 breeding's) or you can purchase this great male for $7500 with 5 retained breeding's.
Biopsy results:
Norm Evans had this to say.."Status Symbol" shows a density of 64 follicles per SQ MM of skin. Average on about 1300 Huacayas at this point is 39.75 follicles per SQ MM. His S/P ratio from 4 fiber bundles is 13.25 to 1. Average on about 1300 Huacayas is 8.5 at this point. The 15 X scan demonstrates symmetrical bundle structure while the 250X scan shows a nice presence of glands to provide nutrition to the follicles and fibers. These glands should provide shine and luster to the fiber and appear to be highly genetic. This guy on biopsy appears to be the whole package with a density and S/P ratio that is well above the average. He rates in the top 5% of Huacaya males that I have evaluated.
Ian Watt gave these results -The alpaca "Status Symbol' has high fibre density and moderate fibre length. Density 57.8 follicles per square millimeter. The primary fibres and secondary fibres are fine and uniform in diameter. Secondary follicle formation is extensive - the alpaca has a high secondary follicle to primary follicle ratio of 13.4 to 1. Considering the alpaca is 64 months old, the growth rate of the wool fibres (0.30 millimetres per day) is acceptable, and overall, the animal has tested very well for fibre density and length.
